Dressed in colourful traditional attire, employees of the National Skills Fund (NSF) came together on  23 September 2026 to celebrate Heritage Day. As an organisation that embraces diversity,  the NSF recognises the valuable contribution of its employees.

The celebration offered staff an opportunity to celebrate the rich cultures, customs and backgrounds that shape the organisation and  South Africa.  A celebratory atmosphere filled the workplace as employees brought different cultural traditions to life through their clothing and personal stories. Employees  proudly showcased their heritage and explained the meaning behind their outfits, encouraging colleagues to learn about one another and strengthen their sense of belonging.

For the National Skills Fund, the celebration supported efforts to build an inclusive workplace where employees feel welcome and appreciate the contributions of their colleagues.

The celebration  offered a meaningful expression of social cohesion, mutual respect and unity in diversity within the workplace.  It highlighted Ubuntu and mutual respect as values that support positive relationships across the National Skills Fund. The National Skills Fund remains committed to promoting  diversity and inclusion, while supporting an organisational culture in which every employee feels valued and recognised.
