Skills Development Funding

From time to time, the NSF invites expressions of interest and skills development proposals from qualifying applicants nationally or related to a specific region across multiple sectors.

Our Funded Programmes

Our funded education and training programmes are aimed to produce adequate skills and knowledge to meet the current and future needs of the economy and society. We also support extensive research into the post-school education and training (PSET) system towards identifying the kind of human and infrastructure capacity needed to grow the enrolment and throughput of programmes in high demand.

These bursaries and scholarships are funded by three government agencies: NSFAS, NRF and the DHET.

We offer bursaries and scholarships to deserving students through our implementing partners.

A key focus of the NSF in a bid to ramp up the uptake of artisanal trades.

Focused on skills development, not capital funding.

Entry-level qualifications at CET colleges, including non-profit organisations.

NSF’s found legislation, the Skills Development Act, encourages employers to use the workplace as an active learning environment.

This is done through various labour institutes.
